The Unification of Creation
Our God is faithful and it is impossible for God to lie (Heb 6:18). The Word of God is always fulfilled. As it was forewarned to Noah, the world was judged with the flood (Gen 7-9). The judgment on the City of Sodom and Gomorrah was fulfilled in accordance with the Word (Gen 18-19). To Sarah who was no longer able to bear a child, God allowed her to have a son as He had promised. Although Abraham’s body was as good as dead because he was 100 years old, he was justified as being righteous because he trusted God fully without any doubts and glorified God (Rom 4:17-22). The Covenant of the Torch that God promised Abraham in the Land of Canaan was fulfilled 676 years after the covenant was established when Abraham entered the land. As you can see, our faithful God is promising the unification of the creation.
I. The restoration of creation.
The Bible promises the restoration of creation. Originally, a lion was not meant to be a carnivore for God created all beasts to feed on grass. The Scripture says, “And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground–everything that has the breath of life in it–I give every green plant for food”, which proves this fact. However, it was changed to attack and feed on human and other beasts due to sin. The law of the jungle is entirely the product of sin. Creation, subjected to frustration, was not by its own choice. That is why creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. That is also why the Bible promises restoration for flying birds and crawling beasts to feed on grass. It is stated in Isa 65:25, “The wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox, and dust will be the serpent’s food. They will neither harm nor destroy on my entire holy mountain,” says the Lord.”
II. The restoration of the body.
The Bible promises the restoration of the body where the moral body transfigures to immortal. The perishable body of the present cannot welcome the Lord. The Bible clearly asserts that the flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God (1 Cor 15:50). Hence, even though our body is currently in a perishable state, we will transfigure instantly into a spiritual body like a cicada larva sheds its skin when the Second Coming returns. We will meet with the Lord in the air after we transfigure. Apostle Paul clearly testifies in 1 Thes 4:16-18, “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.” As the death comes to sting, it will run away when it sees that the Word of eternal life dwells in you (1 Cor 15:55). Therefore, there can never be other worries when we are with the Lord. Although our lives maybe difficult, there is hope when we grasp only onto the Word. The Lord has already shown us the power of transfiguration. A person who had been invalid for 38 years was able to lift his mat and walked at the pool called Bethesda when he heard Jesus say, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk” (Jn 5:8-9). The mother–in-law of Peter who was Jesus’ prodigy was also able to get up instantly and began to wait on him when he took her hand and raised her up (Mt 8:14-15). The bleeding of a woman who was hemophiliac for 12 years had stopped the moment she touched the Lord’s cloak (Mt 9:20-22). This clearly proves the power of the Word that instantly restores. My beloved saints! This means that the world before creation is being restored. The glorious light of God will wrap us up and all trees will clap their hands in joy because they met their true master (Isa 55:12-13). In the last the day when death is conquered, God will host a banquet with aged wine (Isa 25:6-8). This banquet will be hosted with the finest wine that has not yet been opened before. When that day comes, death will never be upon man.
III. In the last days, we must receive the blessing of the hidden manna.
It is prophesied that in the last days, the world will be destroyed by a man who rides on a pale horse and Hades that closely followed him and frightening famine be upon it (Rev 6:7-8). The situation during the time of famine is prophesied in Deut 28:56-57 where it says, “The refined and delicate woman among you, who would not venture to set the sole of her foot on the ground for delicateness and refinement, shall be hostile toward the husband she cherishes and toward her son and daughter, and toward her afterbirth which issues from between her legs and toward her children whom she bears; for she will eat them secretly for lack of anything else, during the siege and the distress by which your enemy will oppress you in your towns.” However, during such a time of the last days, God prepared the hidden manna as an urgent measure and gave it to the Israelites during their 40 years of the wilderness journey. However, there are certain people who will claim that manna. They are the “Victors” that are stated in Rev 2:17. The hidden manna is God’s amazing blessing of life that is given to those who overcome themselves and the world. In order to accomplish the unification of creation through the restoration of creation and the restoration of the flesh, we must not forget that there are processes of hardship that one has to pass through. There are no lies in the Word of God. No matter what kind of persecution and hardship may come upon us, I sincerely hope that the hidden manna will be upon us, so that we all will be able to live with the faith that trusts and looks upon only God (Deut 28:1,14, Joel 2:23). This is the Word of truth that the Bible testifies.
Conclusion:
Our God is a faithful God. Our God clearly promises the restoration and the unification of the creation. The creation must quickly be restored. We must stop the groans of the creation. My beloved saint! I sincerely hope that we all become those who receive answers from the Word.
만물의 통일
하나님은 신실하신 분이십니다. 결코 거짓말을 하실 수 없는 미쁘신 분이십니다(히 6:18). 하나님의 말씀은 반드시 성취되었습니다. 노아에게 경고하신 말씀대로 물로 세상이 심판을 받았습니다(창 7-9장). 소돔과 고모라의 심판도 말씀대로 되었습니다(창 18-19장). 월경이 끊어져 자식을 낳을 수 없는 사라에게 약속하신 대로 아들을 낳게 하셨습니다. 아브라함은 백세나 되어 이미 죽은 몸과 같이 되었는데도 하나님의 말씀을 의심치 않고 믿어 하나님께 영광을 돌리고 의로 여김을 받았습니다(롬 4:17-22). 아브라함에게 가나안 땅을 주시겠다고 횃불 언약을 세운 후 가나안 입성으로 676년 만에 그대로 성취되었습니다. 이처럼 신실하신 하나님이 만물의 통일을 약속하고 계십니다.
1. 만물의 회복.
성경은 먼저 만물의 회복을 약속하고 있습니다. 본래 사자는 육식하는 동물이 아닙니다. 하나님은 모든 짐승이 풀을 먹도록 창조하셨습니다. 창 1:30의 “땅의 모든 짐승과 공중의 모든 새와 생명이 있어 땅에 기는 모든 것에게는 내가 모든 푸른 풀을 식물로 주노라”는 말씀은 이 사실을 증거하고 있습니다. 그런데 죄 때문에 사람뿐만 아니라 짐승을 잡아먹는 존재로 바뀌었습니다. 현재 약육강식의 세계는 전적으로 죄의 결과입니다. 현재의 피조물들이 굴복하는 것은 자기의 뜻이 아닙니다. 그래서 피조물들은 죄짓지 않는 하나님의 아들이 나타나기를 탄식하며 고대하고 있습니다.
그래서 성경은 나는 새나, 기는 짐승이나 풀을 양식으로 먹도록 회복될 것을 약속하고 있습니다. “이리와 어린 양이 함께 먹을 것이며 사자가 소처럼 짚을 먹을 것이며 뱀은 흙으로 식물을 삼을 것이니 나의 성산에서는 해함도 없겠고 상함도 없으리라 여호와의 말이니라”(사 65:25)라고 말씀하고 있습니다.
2. 몸의 회복.
성경은 죽을 사람들이 죽지 않고 변화하는, 몸의 회복을 약속하고 있습니다. 현재의 썩을 몸으로는 주님을 맞이하지 못합니다. 혈과 육은 결코 하나님 나라를 유업으로 받지 못한다고 성경은 단언합니다(고전 15:50). 따라서 주님 재림 전에 썩어질 육신이지만 순간으로 굼벵이가 껍질 벗듯이 신령한 몸으로 변화하는 것입니다. 그렇게 변화 받아 주님을 공중에서 만나게 되는 것입니다. 사도 바울은 “주께서 호령과 천사장의 소리와 하나님의 나팔로 친히 하늘로 좇아 강림하시리니 그리스도 안에서 죽은 자들이 먼저 일어나고 그 후에 우리 살아남은 자도 저희와 함께 구름 속으로 끌어 올려 공중에서 주를 영접하게 하시리니 그리하여 우리가 항상 주와 함께 있으리라 그러므로 이 여러 말로 서로 위로하라”(살전 4:16-18)고 확증하고 있습니다. 사망이 쏘러 왔다가 영생불사의 말씀이 머문 것을 보고 사망은 도망칩니다(고전 15:55). 그러므로 주 안에 있을 때 딴 근심이 있을 수 없습니다. 세상이 고달프지만 말씀만을 붙잡을 때 소망이 있습니다.
주님은 변화의 능력을 미리 보여 주셨습니다. 베데스다 연못가에서 38년 동안이나 누워서 걸어 보지 못했던 병자가 “일어나 네 자리를 들고 걸어가라”(요 5:8)는 말씀에 순간 일어나 자리를 들고 걸어갔습니다(요 5:9). 예수님의 수제자 베드로의 장모도 주님이 손을 잡아 일으키자 즉시 회복되어 일어나 주님을 수종 들었습니다(마 8:14-15). 12년 동안이나 혈루증을 앓던 여자도 주님의 옷을 만지자마자 즉시 혈루증이 멈췄습니다(마 9:20-22). 이것은 순간적으로 회복시키는 말씀의 능력을 우리들에게 확증해 주고 있습니다.
사랑하는 성도 여러분! 완전히 창조 본연의 세계가 회복되는 것입니다. 하나님의 영광의 빛이 우리를 두르고, 모든 나무들이 참주인을 만난 것이 너무 기뻐서 손뼉을 칩니다(사 55:12-13). 끝 날에 사망을 정복하는 그날은 하나님이 오랫동안 저장하였던 포도주로 잔치를 벌이는 날입니다(사 25:6-8). 그날은 죄지은 이후로 한 번도 공개하지 않은 맑은 포도주로 연회를 베푸는 날입니다. 그날이 오면 인간에게 영원히 죽음이 오지 않습니다.
3. 종말에 감추인 만나의 축복을 받아야 합니다.
끝 날에 세상이 청황색 말을 탄 사망과 음부로 멸망당하고 무서운 흉년이 도래하며(계 6:7-8), 흉년 때의 저주스런 상황을 신 28:56-57에 예언하고 있습니다.
(신 28:56-57) “또 너희 중에 유순하고 연약한 부녀 곧 유순하고 연약하여 그 발바닥으로 땅을 밟아 보지도 아니하던 자라도 그 품의 남편과 그 자녀를 질시하여 그 다리 사이에서 나온 태와 자기의 낳은 어린 자식을 가만히 먹으리니 이는 네 대적이 네 생명을 에워싸고 맹렬히 쳐서 곤란케 하므로 아무것도 얻지 못함이리라”
그러나 이러한 흉년의 때에 하나님은 비상조치로, 40년 동안 믿는 이스라엘 백성에게 내리신 만나같이, ‘감추인 만나’를 예비하십니다. 그런데 그 만나를 차지하는 사람들이 있습니다. 계 2:17에 “이기는 자”에게입니다. 감추었던 만나는 세상과 자신을 이기는 자에게 주시는 하나님의 놀라운 생명의 축복입니다.
사랑하는 성도 여러분! 만물의 회복과 몸의 회복을 통해 만물이 통일되기 위해서는 통과해야 할 시련의 과정이 있음을 잊어서는 안 됩니다. 하나님의 말씀은 결코 거짓이 없습니다. 어떠한 환란과 핍박이 온다 해도 끝까지 오직 하나님만 바라보고 믿는 신앙만 있다면 감추었던 만나가 내려서 산다는 것을 믿으시기 바랍니다(신 28:1-14, 욜 2:23). 이것은 성경이 증거하는 진리의 말씀입니다.
결론:
하나님은 신실하신 하나님이십니다. 하나님은 분명히 만물의 회복과 통일을 약속하고 계십니다. 만물이 빨리 회복되어야 합니다. 피조물의 탄식이 멈추게 해야 합니다. 사랑하는 성도 여러분! 말씀의 응답자들이 되시기를 바랍니다.
