The Wind of God's Consideration and Recommendation
Acts 2:1-4, Genesis 8:1-5
When you see today’s scripture text, Gen 8:1, it says, “God remembered Noah and all the wild animals, and the livestock that were with him in the ark, and He sent a wind over the earth, and the waters receded.” As you can see, through the wind of consideration and recommendation, not only did God part the Red Sea and send quails over, but He also instilled His Living Breath into the nostrils of mankind with that wind and created human in His image as well. Today, we will examine together the wonderful works of God that considers and recommends through the wind.
I. The wind of consideration and recommendation.
The word “consideration” has several meanings, such as “taking care of one, thinking deeply, and remembering.” The word “recommendation” also has several meanings, such as “taking care of one, thinking fondly of one, giving a blessing to one, making a visit, dropping by to look for one , making house calls and monitoring.” It is written in Exo 3:16, “…I have watched over you and have seen what has been done to you in Egypt.” What this means is that as mentioned above, God will watch over them, will pay a visit to them, and by giving them blessings, God will deliver them from all misery and pain they had suffered in the land of Egypt. In our daily life, when someone visits us out of surprise, we use the phrase, “which wind blows you over here?” Likewise, in order to have the prosperity of our faith and success in our lives, God’s wind of grace must strongly work. When God sent the wind of consideration, the waters from the flood had receded. Likewise, there will be the blessing in our households where all of our problems will be resolved. Furthermore, just like God’s strong efforts to save the Israelites from all dangers and problems were manifested through Exodus, God will monitor all believers’ lives and businesses to make them successful; and the miraculous works of the wind of consideration and the recommendation will truly be initiated in the households of all believers, so that He will heal all of our problems.
II. The wind of God – The wind of Living Breath.
Among the wind of God, there is the wind of Living Breath that created all things under the universe, and created man with dust and instilled the Living Breath into the nostrils. Furthermore, we also see Jesus raises the wind of Holy Spirit through the lips of his beloved disciples after Jesus resurrected (Jn 20:22). When we see Eze 37:4-10, we encounter the works of resurrection where God raises the wind of Living Breath on Prophet Ezekiel, so that the people dried as dried bones are resurrected. As you can see, the wind of God is the wind of Living Breath that turns the clump of dust to the living spirits. It is the wind of Living Breath that turns parched people whose blood is dried, tendons thinned out, whose bones are dried out, and raise them to become the army. Because God is the original source of life, through the wind of Living Breath, God worked the works of the Spirit of resurrection to revive the dead. It is clearly testified in Eze 37:10, “so I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet-a vast army.” The wind of Living Breath can also be the wind of evangelism. What this means is that among all dead spirits, if one revives, then it will rise up the wind of evangelism and bear lots of fruits. The army was raised up not by hundreds of people but through one person, Prophet Ezekiel. As it is written in Isa 2:2-3 where it says, “In the last days, the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and all nations will stream to it.” When the wind of Living Breath such as this blows on us, our lives will be strengthened with the power of His Living Breath that provides all necessary things, and will bear the fruits of powerful evangelism.
III. The work of God’s wind.
Who created the winds such as these and collected them all to blow? When you look at the Bible, it is clear that God created it (Amos 4:13). He made it blow (Ps 147:18); He collected them all (Prov 30:4); and He controls them. Raising the East Wind to bring in the quails, making the waters of the Red Sea recede so that He turned it into a dry land were all because God collected the winds, controlled them, and made them blow (Exo 14:21). Hence, the works of the wind of God are the wind of consideration that dried the Red Sea and the wind that parted the Red Sea with Great East Wind (Exo 15:10). God caused the hot wind to blow (Isa 11:15) and it is the wind that worked as the thin and scorched wind (Gen 41:6). This thin and scorched wind is a weak and thin wind that blows from the east, and it signifies the judgment of God. That is why the East Wind that appeared in Gen 41:6, Eze 17:10, 19:12, Hos 13:15 is the wind that exhausts all. Furthermore, the work of God’s wind brought forth the quails. It is written in Num 11:31, “Now, a wind went out from the Lord and drove quails in from the sea. It scattered them up to two cubits deep all around the camp, as far as a day’s walk in any direction.” When a wind such as this blows on us, we will receive blessing that we will never lack anything.
Conclusion:
As you can see, a wind works as the original source of life that provides Living Breath, considers and recommends the believers, and saves them from the dangers. When we accept this work of the wind with our faith and yearn for it wholeheartedly, I believe that God’s wind of blessing, the wind that God desires, the wind that fulfills God’s Will, and the wind that brings satisfaction and prosperity, joy, and peace will be upon every believers, their families and households, and their businesses.
하나님의 바람의 권념과 권고
행 2:1-4, 창 8:1-5
본문 창 8:1에, “하나님이 노아와 그와 함께 방주에 있는 모든 들짐승과 육축을 권념하사 바람으로 땅 위에 불게 하시매 물이 감하였고”라는 말씀이 나옵니다. 이와 같이 하나님께서는 바람으로 권념하시고 권고하심을 통해서 홍해를 가르시고, 메추라기를 보내 주셨을 뿐 아니라, 그 바람으로 사람의 코에 생기를 불어넣으심으로 당신의 형상대로 창조하시기도 하셨습니다. 이처럼 바람을 통해 권고하시고 권념하시는 하나님의 놀라운 역사를 함께 살펴보겠습니다.
1. 권념과 권고의 바람.
‘권념'(眷念)이란 말은 ‘1) 보살펴 주다, 2) 깊이 생각하다, 3) 기억하다’라는 뜻을 가지고 있으며, ‘권고'(眷顧)라는 말의 뜻은 ‘1) 돌봐 주다, 2) 귀여워해 주다, 3) 축복해 주다, 4) 심방하다, 5) 찾아가다, 6) 왕진하다, 7) 참관하겠다’입니다. 출 3:16에 보면, “… 내가 실로 너희를 권고하여 너희가 애굽에서 당한 일을 보았노라”라는 말씀이 있습니다. 이 말씀은 위의 뜻과 같이 하나님께서 돌봐 주시고, 심방하시고 찾아가셔서 축복해 주심으로 말미암아 애굽에서 당하는 모든 고통 가운데서 건져 주시겠다는 뜻입니다.
우리의 일상생활 가운데서도, 생각지도 않는 가운데 사람이 찾아오면 “네가 무슨 바람이 불어서 여기 왔느냐?”라고 말하는 경우가 있듯이, 우리의 신앙의 부흥과 생활의 형통함을 위해서도 하나님의 은혜의 바람이 강하게 역사해야만 합니다. 하나님께서 권념의 바람을 불게 하실 때, 홍수로 말미암아 땅에 창일했던 물이 다 말랐던 것처럼, 우리 가정에 닥쳐온 모든 문제들이 말끔히 해결되는 축복이 있습니다. 또한 권고의 바람으로 모든 위경과 고통 가운데서 건져 주시는 강권적인 역사가 출애굽을 통해 나타났던 것처럼, 모든 성도들의 삶과 사업에 참관하셔서 잘되게 하시고, 왕진하셔서 우리의 모든 문제를 치료하시는 기적적인 권념과 권고의 바람이 모든 성도들의 가정에 반드시 일어나야만 하겠습니다.
2. 여호와 하나님의 바람 – 생기의 바람.
하나님의 바람 가운데, 우주 만물을 창조하시고 흙으로 사람을 빚어서 그 코에다가 생기의 바람을 집어넣은 생기의 바람이 있습니다. 또한 예수님께서 부활하신 다음에 사랑하는 제자들에게 입을 통해서 성령의 바람을 일으키셨던 것을 발견하게 됩니다(요 20:22). 겔 37:4-10 말씀을 볼 때, 하나님께서 에스겔 선지자를 통해 생기의 바람을 일으키셔서 마른 뼈다귀 같은 사람들을 다시 살리시는 부활의 역사를 만나게 됩니다.
이처럼 하나님의 바람은 흙덩어리를 생령으로 만드는 생기의 바람입니다. 피도 말랐고 힘줄도, 뼈다귀도 말라비틀어진 사람들을 일으켜 군대로 만드는 생기의 바람입니다. 하나님은 생명의 근원이시기 때문에, 죽은 자를 살리는 부활의 영의 역사를 생기의 바람을 통해서 하셨던 것입니다. 겔 37:10 말씀에 “이에 내가 그 명대로 대언하였더니 생기가 그들에게 들어가매 그들이 곧 살아 일어나서 서는데 극히 큰 군대더라”라고 분명히 증거하고 있습니다. 생기의 바람이 곧 전도의 바람도 된다는 것입니다.
죽었던 심령 가운데 하나만 살아나도 전도의 바람을 일으켜 많은 열매를 맺는 것을 말씀해 주는 것입니다. 수백 명이 아니라 에스겔 선지자 한 사람을 통해 큰 군대를 일으키셨습니다. 이사야 2:2-3 말씀처럼, 말일에는 여호와의 전의 산으로 만방이 다 모여들게 되어 있는 것입니다. 이러한 생기의 바람이 우리에게 불 때, 모든 생활에 하나님께서 공급해 주시는 생기의 능력으로 강건해지고, 폭발적인 전도의 열매도 맺히게 되는 것입니다.
3. 하나님의 바람의 역사.
이러한 바람을 누가 창조하셨으며, 누가 모아서 불게 하셨습니까? 성경을 볼 때 분명히, 바람은 하나님께서 창조하셨으며(암 4:13), 하나님께서 불게 하시며(시 147:18), 하나님께서 모으시고(잠 30:4), 하나님께서 조절하십니다. 동풍을 불게 하셔서 메추라기를 모으시고, 홍해 바다의 물을 물러가게 하셔서 마른 땅이 되게 하신 것도 하나님께서 바람을 모으시고 조절하셔서 불게 하셨기 때문입니다(출 14:21). 그러므로 하나님의 바람의 역사는 1) 홍해를 마르게 한 권념의 바람이며, 2) 홍해를 가르는 큰 동풍으로(출 15:10) 뜨거운 바람을 불게 하셨으며(사 11:15), 3) 세약(細弱)한 바람으로 역사하셨습니다(창 41:16). 이 세약한 바람은 가늘고 약한 바람으로, 동쪽에서 불어오며 하나님의 심판을 상징하고 있습니다. 그래서 창 41:6이나 겔 17:10, 19:12, 호 13:15에 나오는 동풍은 모든 것을 피폐하게 하는 바람입니다. 또한 하나님의 바람의 역사는 4) 메추라기를 몰고 오기도 했습니다. 민 11:31에 “바람이 여호와에게로서 나와 바다에서부터 메추라기를 몰아 진 곁 이편저편 곧 진 사방으로 각기 하룻길 되는 지면 위 두 규빗쯤에 내리게 한지라”라고 증거하고 있습니다. 이러한 바람이 우리에게도 불 때 절대 양식이 떨어지지 않는 축복을 받게 되는 것입니다.
결론:
이와 같이 성경에서 바람은, 성도들을 권고하시고 권념해 주시는 가운데 위경 가운데 건져 주시고 생기를 공급해 주는 등 생명의 원천으로 작용하고 있습니다. 이러한 하나님의 바람의 역사를 믿음으로 받아들이고 간절히 사모할 때 하나님의 축복의 바람, 하나님이 기대하시는 바람, 하나님의 뜻을 이루는 바람, 모든 생활에 만족과 형통과 기쁨과 평안이 깃드는 바람이 우리 성도들 개인과 가정과 사업에 충만하기를 바랍니다.
